Why Is Extraction Necessary
Tooth extraction is necessary when a tooth is extensively damaged or infected beyond repair. A tooth's structure and function can be compromised by decay, injury, or periodontal disease, which can cause discomfort, infection, and the possibility of germs spreading to other parts of the mouth. Extraction is also required when wisdom teeth are causing complications or when teeth are overcrowded, hindering proper alignment. The damaged tooth can be extracted in order to prevent additional harm and associated complications while also improving overall dental health.
